Fye and Foul is an emerging theatre company brought together by an interest in unique sonic experiences and performance in the dark. We are Giulio, Yaron and Lisa, three performance makers that started collaborating at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Giulio is a writer with an interest in Scenography,  Yaron is a director, dramaturg and lighting designer and Lisa is a physical performer and musician.
We aim to utilise the unsettling and uncertain feeling created by darkness as well as to delve into the edges and affect of sound, noise and hearing. Our work explores how the invasiveness of sound can cause a physical and visceral affect, how time and space as experienced in the outside world are distorted and uncertainty becomes a dominant element.
The company has a particular focus on the use of speech and voice in performance along with collaborative writing, drawing both from the practice of new writing as well as devised theatre and live art.
